Bandipur National Park India – Track Serendipitous Movements Of Wildlife

The indistinct rays of sunlight passed down through the dense clouds, and the breeze of air grew into a cool wind. We started in our journey with eagerly to explore the wilderness and to witness the fortuitous and unexpected activities of the wild. Driven by our curious hearts and eyes, eager to have a complete glimpse, we entered the forest of Bandipur National Park India.

It was around 4 'o' clock when we made our path through the heart of the dense forest. Various wild animals like antelopes and spotted deer had their curious eyes in us as we passed through the muddy road looking for footprints of tiger, and tree houses of evening birds. Hence, our evening at Bandipur National Park had started.

Our entry into the dense forest was welcomed by a herd of deer staring us curiously. There were 6-8 spotted deer that stopped eating grass at our sight. They seemed lively, and freely moved throughout the e forest. Younger calves were playing, at a quite distance from their mother. The mother deer stared at us with fear, being the most curious than other deers, she had to protect her child after all.

Next morning in Jungle Safari Bandipur we started our journey and spotted a monitor lizard. It looked smooth and its skin was glowing. Flicking its tongue frequently, it slowly went into the bushes. A reptile's flicking tongue helps to know of the surrounding air through sensory organs present at its mouth. They rapidly scan the air and run in search of prey. A monitor lizard can grow up to 4 feet, and the one we saw was around 2.5 feet. We also saw a brown hare too.

My day spent at Jungle Safari Bandipur was awesome. This was my 3rd tiger reserve adventure and yet the royal predators remained elusive for me.
